HKPM SHOWTIME! – HKPHIL DIM SUM SERIES: WOMEN COMPOSERS OF NOTE

30/4 (Sunday) 3pm
Approximately 1 hour with no intermission

To showcase the influence of femininity within classical music, Fellows from The Orchestra Academy Hong Kong* present three rarely performed gems by three remarkable women – the French composer Germaine Tailleferre, British-American composer Rebecca Clarke, and German composer Fanny Mendelssohn. Works by Benjamin Britten, Arthur Pryor, and Giuseppe Verdi focus on female protagonists.

Join us for a memorable afternoon as we celebrate female empowerment through music!

*The Orchestra Academy Hong Kong is a joint programme co-directed by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) and the School of Music of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA).
